Some people talk about helping animals. Others build an entire community around it.
That’s exactly what Torrie Fortune did when she founded Pinups for PACC in 2022.
The idea grew out of UnPack the PACC, a large-scale community fundraiser created by Arizona Music Connection to benefit Friends of Pima Animal Care Center. After seeing the impact one event could make, Torrie wanted to create something that would help shelter pets all year long, not just once a year.
The result was Pinups for PACC...a unique volunteer-driven organization that blends community service, fundraising, adoption awareness, and a little vintage flair, all with one goal: helping animals in need.
Operating under the Arizona Music Connection umbrella, Pinups for PACC has become a familiar and welcome presence throughout Southern Arizona. Through pet supply drives, fundraising events, community outreach, and partnerships with local businesses and animal welfare organizations, the group works tirelessly to support Friends of Pima Animal Care Center and the thousands of animals who pass through PACC each year.
What makes Pinups for PACC special isn't just the events or the fundraising. It's the people behind it. Volunteers who donate their time. Community members who show up. Businesses that lend their support. Animal lovers who understand that even small acts of kindness can make a huge difference in the life of a shelter pet.
Under Torrie's leadership, Pinups for PACC has created a fun, welcoming way for people to get involved while making a real impact. Whether it's collecting pet food, organizing adoption awareness campaigns, helping fund medical care, or simply shining a spotlight on animals waiting for homes, their work continues to improve the lives of pets across our community.
