Heirloom Farmers Markets

Posted on April 3, 2025 by The Drive

Celebrate Earth Day with Heirloom Farmers Markets at the Rillito Park Farmers Market on Sunday, April 13th, from 9 AM to 1 PM. Enjoy live music by Bloomstone throughout the day and an interactive children's music session with Mr. Nature's Music Garden from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Community partners, including the Pima County Food Alliance and Watershed Management Group, will offer educational activities on topics like growing food, composting, recycling, and protecting desert waterways. Please note, pets are not allowed at the Rillito Park Farmers Market.

Farmers markets are awesome because they bring the community together around fresh, local food and real human connection. Instead of buying produce that’s traveled thousands of miles, you get fruits, veggies, and handmade goods straight from the source, grown or crafted right here in the desert. There’s something personal about shaking the hand of the person who grew your tomatoes. Plus, the vibe is unbeatable: live music, local flavors, friendly faces, and a chance to support small businesses that care about sustainability and quality. It’s not just shopping, it’s a weekly ritual that feeds your body and your soul.
