Contest Dates
- Starts: 12pm on Monday, September 21, 2026
- Ends: Saturday, November 21, 2026
Eligibility
- Age must be 18 or older.
- Must live in Southern Arizona within Pima, Pinal, Cochise, Santa Cruz, Graham, Greenlee or Yuma County.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of residency.
- Winner must provide proof of valid automobile insurance.
- Employees of KDRI/The Drive Tucson, Bustos Media, contest sponsors, promotional partners and advertising agencies and members of their immediate families or households are not eligible.
- Owners and employees of businesses hosting live-broadcast qualifying events, along with members of their immediate families, are not eligible to qualify during an event held at that business.
- Limit one qualifier per household. Duplicate qualifiers will automatically be removed.
- On-air qualifying begins Monday, 9/21/26.
How to Enter
On-Air and Online
- From September 19 through November 19, 2026, listen to The Drive Tucson for the OFFICIAL GREMLIN SOUNDER.
- When you hear it, visit TheDriveTucson.com, click the checkered flag and enter the title OR artist of the song played immediately after the sounder.
- Each correct entry provides one chance to qualify.
- Sounder will air throughout each day during the promotion. (Monday-Sunday) between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- Entries for each day must be submitted by 11:59 p.m.
- Registering as an official Drive Roadie provides one additional opportunity to qualify.
- Listeners may also enter by mail.

- Each entry must include the participant’s full name, residential address, telephone number and email address.
- Mail-in entries must be received by November 14, 2026.
- Each valid mail-in entry provides one opportunity to qualify.
Additional Ways to Qualify
- Attend one of The Drive Tucson’s participating live-broadcast qualifying events.
- Every Friday at approximately 3 p.m., Ken Carr & Leslie Lois will select and announce on air one qualifier from the registered Drive Roadies.
- Registered Roadies may increase their chances by entering online and attending participating live broadcasts.
Finalist Drawings
- The first five finalists were selected at the September 19 kickoff event at Bookmans Entertainment Exchange, River & Stone.
- Beginning Monday, September 21, two finalists will be drawn each weekday morning at approximately 7:25 a.m. from the previous day’s eligible entries.
- Eligible weekend entries will be included in Monday’s drawings.
- Finalists selected at live broadcasts advance directly to Giveaway Day.
- Five additional finalists will be selected at the final event.
- Each person may qualify only once.
Prize Information
- Grand Prize: One restored 1978 AMC Gremlin presented by DJ’s Desert Classics and powered by Bookmans Entertainment Exchange.
- The vehicle is awarded as is, without warranty.
- The winner must provide a valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
- A Social Security number may be required for tax-reporting purposes.
- All federal, state and local taxes, title-transfer costs, registration fees and related expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner.
- No cash substitution or transfer of the prize is permitted.
Grand Finale Event
- Date: Saturday, November 21, 2026
- All previously selected finalists must report to Giveaway Day by the announced check-in deadline.
- Each finalist will receive a randomly selected number.
- Finalists will take turns trying their numbers on the official lockbox.
- The finalist whose number opens the lockbox wins the restored 1978 AMC Gremlin.
- A finalist who is absent, late or unable to provide the required identification may be disqualified and replaced at the sole discretion of The Drive Tucson.
General Rules
- By entering, participants give The Drive Tucson, Bustos Media and participating sponsors permission to use their name, likeness and/or voice in promotional materials without additional compensation.
- Odds of qualifying and winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
- All decisions made by The Drive Tucson regarding eligibility, finalists and the winner are final.
- The Drive Tucson is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected or technically unsuccessful entries.
- Any attempt to manipulate, automate or fraudulently submit entries may result in disqualification.
- All taxes and expenses not specifically included with the prize are the winner’s responsibility.
- No purchase is necessary.
- Void where prohibited.
- Contest dates, appearances and rules are subject to change when circumstances beyond the station’s control require it.
Giveaway Day
Giveaway Day will be held Saturday, November 21, 2026. Five additional finalists will be selected at the event. Registration times and the final event location will be announced by The Drive Tucson. All eligible finalists will have an opportunity to win the restored 1978 AMC Gremlin.
