Step Into a Living Rainforest at Butterfly Magic

Now through May 31, Tucson families can experience the wonder of a tropical rainforest, without leaving town. Butterfly Magic at the Tucson Botanical Gardens invites guests to walk among hundreds of live, fluttering butterflies in a lush, climate-controlled greenhouse filled with exotic plants, colorful blooms, and even a few rainforest friends.

This magical, interactive exhibit features butterflies from around the world, including species from South America, Southeast Asia, and Africa. You’ll see them up close as they land on flowers, fruit trays—and maybe even you! It's a rare chance to observe the entire butterfly life cycle, from chrysalis to winged wonder.

Alongside the butterflies, guests may spot dart frogs, striking orchids, and tropical birds, all adding to the immersive feel of this unique attraction. Whether you're a nature lover, a photographer, or just looking for a beautiful way to spend a morning, Butterfly Magic offers a calm, colorful escape for all ages.
