"Country Roads" Premieres Easter Sunday at 8am on The Drive Tucson
We’re proud to introduce a brand-new addition to our weekend lineup...one that honors the timeless music that shaped the Old Pueblo and the American soundtrack itself.
"Country Roads" premieres Easter Sunday, April 20th at 8 a.m., right before an all-new season of American Top 40, the original 70s broadcasts with Casey Kasem at 9 a.m.
This one-hour weekly show is a musical journey through the golden age of country and crossover classics. Hosted by legendary country broadcaster and Tucsonan Gregg Gehringer, Country Roads celebrates the songs that rattled saloon doors, rolled down lonesome highways, and rose like campfire smoke into the Tucson sky.
You’ll hear timeless tracks from legends like Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Waylon Jennings, Linda Ronstadt, Charley Pride, Kris Kristofferson, Glen Campbell, Loretta Lynn, Marty Robbins, Dolly Parton, Hank Williams, and Conway Twitty and that's just the start.
Whether you grew up on these songs or you’re discovering them for the first time, Country Roads brings back the stories, the sound, and the spirit of a time when Tucson was still a small Western town with a big love for timeless country music.
So set your reminder for Easter morning at 8 a.m. and join us for the premiere of Country Roads. Then stick around at 9am for an all-new season of American Top 40 with Casey Kasem the original 70s broadcasts.
Your Sunday mornings just got legendary.
