Arizona Theatre Company brings suspense to the stage with Deceived, a gripping new adaptation of the classic 1938 thriller Gaslight. The production runs in Tucson from September 28 through October 18 at the Temple of Music and Art, then moves to Tempe from October 25 through November 9 at the Tempe Center for the Arts.
Deceived tells the story of Bella, a young wife caught in a web of paranoia, manipulation, and dark secrets, as she begins to question her own sanity in the search for truth. Adapted by Johnna Wright and Patty Jamieson, this version removes the traditional inspector role and gives Bella and the other female characters, a stronger, more commanding voice.
Directed by Jenn Thompson, with scenic design by Alexander Dodge and costumes by Patrick Holt, Deceived offers a powerful theatrical experience. Tickets start at $33, and audiences can expect an unforgettable evening of suspense, drama, and intrigue with Arizona Theatre Company.
