Tucson’s longest-running celebration of indie cinema is back! The 33rd Arizona International Film Festival hits the big screen from April 3–13, 2025, spotlighting a bold mix of films from around the globe. With 24 feature-length titles and 70 short films representing 19 different countries, this year’s fest is shaping up to be a cinematic feast for film lovers and storytellers alike.
Since 1990, this beloved festival has brought more than 3,400 films from over 100 countries to Southern Arizona—making it not just a local tradition, but an international showcase of creativity and culture.
Opening Night Sneak Peek:
The festival kicks off with Where There is Love, There is No Darkness, a moving French film about an undocumented delivery driver in Paris doing everything he can to support his family in Senegal. The premiere takes place on Thursday, April 3, at The Screening Room in Downtown Tucson.
