Tucson, we spend a good part of the summer looking forward to getting outside again. Now let’s put something on the calendar that doesn’t involve another appointment, another errand, or finally cleaning out the garage!
Run Tucson is giving our community plenty of reasons to lace up, get moving, and enjoy this beautiful place we call home. Whether you’re a longtime runner, thinking about your first 5K, or looking for a walk with a friend and a change of scenery, take a look at what they have coming up.
This local, family-owned company brings people together through running events and coaching, with events in settings ranging from downtown Tucson to Old Tucson, Saguaro National Park, and Biosphere 2. Around here, the scenery alone is a pretty good reason to get out the door.

A few upcoming dates to keep in mind:
October 18: The TMC A-Mountain Half-Marathon, with a 4-Miler and FitKidz/Family Mile also on the schedule. A chance to get moving near one of Tucson’s most recognizable landmarks!
November 14: The inaugural Trails and Tails 5K Run/Walk and Doggie Dash at Rancho Sahuarita. Now there’s an outing worth telling your dog about.
November 21: The El Tour de Tucson 5K Run/Walk in downtown Tucson. You can be part of the excitement of El Tour weekend on your own two feet.
Maybe you have a finish time in mind. Maybe you just want to finish. Or maybe you and a friend have been saying, “We really need to get out and do something,” for the last six months. Pick an event, check out the details, and give yourselves something to look forward to.
And if you’d like some help working toward a running goal, Run Tucson also offers group and individual coaching. You don’t have to figure out every step by yourself.
At The Drive, we love seeing Tucson come together. A familiar face, a little encouragement, a morning outdoors—those simple things can turn into the best part of your week.
Find your event, invite your people and take that first step.
