Country Roads - Meet Your Host

Posted on April 18, 2025 by The Drive

A Lifetime in Country Music

Gregg Gehringer’s love for country music began long before his first radio shift.

He was just a kid when he first stepped into a studio, tagging along with his dad, a seasoned country radio man in his own right. Gregg would sit in that tall chair, feet not yet touching the floor, watching wide-eyed as his father spun records from legends like Don, Dolly, and Merle. It wasn’t just the music that stayed with him. It was the feeling, the stories, the emotion, the connection in every spin.

Those early moments planted a seed that would grow into a lifelong career beside the music.

You Know His Voice...Even If You Don’t Know His Name

Today, Gregg Gehringer is one of the most widely heard, and yet quietly known, voices in Southern Arizona. From national commercials and movie trailers to nightly radio imaging, his voice is on the airwaves across Tucson every single weeknight. Most listeners don’t even realize it’s him. But in the world of voiceover and audio production, Gregg is a trusted go-to. A pro with a warm, confident tone that cuts through the noise.

And when it comes to country music, Gregg doesn’t just sound the part, he’s lived it.

Aside from his impressive broadcasting resume, Gregg has more than 30 years as a country music nightclub DJ, he’s spent decades spinning records, filling dance floors, and sharing unforgettable nights with generations of country fans across the country.

The Perfect Host for Country Roads

Gregg’s favorite artist? Don Williams. Known for his smooth voice and honest, heartfelt lyrics. It’s a perfect match for Gregg’s own steady delivery and calm storytelling style.

As host of Country Roads, Gregg brings more than just a playlist. He brings perspective. He brings a deep, lived-in love for the golden era of country music, the kind that shines through in every song, every story, and every moment on the air.

From Our Director of Programming

“I’ve had the privilege of being part of a very special team, helping shape a station rooted in memories, music that matters, voices that connect, and stories that still mean something. Country Roads was born from that same spirit. A show created to honor the golden era of country music...not just as a sound, but as a feeling. And from the beginning, it was built with one voice in mind. Gregg Gehringer is the voice this show was made for. ~Matt Gentry

So, whether you’re driving across town or just taking it slow this morning, thanks for riding along with us.
