The Beatle Brothers - A Tucson Favorite

Posted on May 31, 2024 by The Drive

You may not have heard these Fab three, but you'll love their Fab Four.

If you've been tuning in to The Drive Tucson lately, you've probably heard Ken Carr, Mikey, or Matt rave about The Beatle Brothers, our station's "House Band." And let us tell you, we're not just hyping them up for nothing—we genuinely love these guys! They're amazing musicians, and their passion for The Beatles is palpable from the very first strum of their guitars.

So, who are The Beatle Brothers? Well, they're three guys hailing from different corners of the country—Chicago, Los Angeles, and Coulee Dam, Washington—who all grew up with a deep love for The Beatles. They taught themselves to play guitar and sing, and now, years later, they're incredibly skilled musicians still in love with Beatles music. They've come together right here in Tucson to form The Beatle Brothers Acoustic Beatles Tribute.

What's unique about The Beatle Brothers is their approach to the tribute band scene. While many Beatles tribute bands go all out with boots, suits, wigs, and even drums, these guys keep it simple and authentic. They faithfully recreate The Beatles' studio albums with an acoustic twist, letting the music shine in its purest form. Their sound is stripped-down but incredibly powerful, and it really captures the spirit of the original recordings.

If you're a Beatles fan—and let's be honest, who isn't?—you'll absolutely love The Beatle Brothers. Their performances are a fantastic opportunity to sing along to all your favorite Beatles hits in a whole new way. And the best part? They have a free concert coming up at the end of June!

Mark your calendars and come join us for a great evening of music and fun. Come hang out with us and experience The Beatle Brothers live. It's going to be a fantastic time, and we can't wait to see you there!

Friday Night Live Concert Series at Main Gate Square.

June 28th from 7:30p-9p.

Meet The Brothers

Dave Allen

Dave (rhythm guitar, vocals) is a musician who plays rhythm guitar, sings, and performs on the harmonica. Growing up in Southern California, he had a childhood similar to many others. A pivotal moment in his life was watching the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show on February 9, 1964. That performance captivated him and sparked his interest in music. He learned to play the guitar, sing, and play the harmonica. His love for the Beatles eventually led him to create an acoustic tribute band named The Beatle Brothers.

Pete Church

Pete (lead guitar/Vocals) who sings and plays guitar, grew up in Chicago. He got his first guitar at 14, and his musical journey took off from there. After playing in several rock bands, his love for music and lead guitar skills led him to start a Beatles acoustic group in Chicago. Eventually, the weather drew him to Tucson, where he searched for fellow Beatles fans to play with and found them, calling the group "See How They Run."

Doug Rice

Doug (bass guitar, vocals) has been a huge fan of The Beatles for as long as he can remember. He's especially captivated by the melodic basslines of Sir Paul McCartney. Over the years, Doug has experimented with all sorts of musical styles and genres. Now, after all this time and exploration, he's incredibly excited to have the chance to go back to the music that first inspired him. The joy he feels can be summed up in the famous Beatles' line, "beep-beep, mm-beep beep, yeah."

These talented musicians from across the country have come together to bring you an authentic and heartfelt tribute, capturing the essence of the Beatles' studio albums with their unique acoustic spin.

We hope you'll come out to enjoy the music, sing along, and create new memories with us. Whether you're a lifelong Beatles fan or new to their music, The Beatle Brothers promise an unforgettable experience.

See you June 28, 7:30p in Maingate Square. 814 E. University Blvd. Parking in Tyndall Garage is free when validating at the show.
