The town set was built in 1968-1969 for "Monte Walsh" and later welcomed stars like Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor. Renowned productions followed, including "The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean," "The Outlaw Josey Wales," and "Tom Horn." Major films like "Tombstone" and "The Quick and the Dead" added to its fame. Mescal also featured in TV series like "Bonanza," "Gunsmoke," and "The Young Riders." It remains a sought-after location for TV movies, attracting industry attention.
