The Drive Listeners Donate More Than $40,000 To Feed Front-Line Workers

The Drive launched a fundraiser on March 27, 2020, called “Drive Thru For Tucson’s Frontline.” The idea, hatched by morning show co-host Hill Bailey, was simple: Ask Tucsonans to donate money that would be used to purchase food from local restaurants for local front-line workers, all of whom are deeply impacted by the pandemic.

The station set an ambitious goal and the people of Tucson responded, donating more than $40,000 to the cause. In the weeks since the fundraiser began, The Drive has delivered meals to healthcare workers, firefighters and police officers all over Tucson. We couldn’t have done it without the generous support of our listeners. Thank you.
